Future Builder assesses all aspects of your character to help you identify careers that align to your personality, strengths and values, and enable you to plan a successful and fulfilling life.
It gives young people, and others at a turning point in their career, the opportunity to assess their options and carefully and insightfully plan their future.
It offers parents, careers advisors and mentors a clear basis on which they can better engage individuals to develop life plans and prepare them to compete for appropriate and fulfilling employment.
We begin to make choices that have significant and often irreversible consequences at a very young age. Young people most often lack an appreciation of their likes and dislikes, their character and personality traits, their strengths, aptitudes, inclinations, orientation and potential. And yet, decisions must be made; Which examinations, which courses, which colleges, apprenticeships, further education or employment? What are the choices and how might they suit me?
Young people also face the influence of others, their peers and their elders.
For parents, guardians and mentors it is vital to support the making of these key life decisions without leading, cajoling or directing. Easier said than done if, as is so often the case, the young person themselves is finding it difficult to engage in the process, not knowing who they are, what they want, what the choices they make might later preclude, what the choices they make might mean for the options available, how their choices might weigh against their values and how the outcomes might influence how and where they live and what they might expect from life.
Is it any surprise that young people find it difficult to engage?
Where do you start?
Future Builder provides the framework for engagement. In just 60-90 minutes the programme highlights the key factors unique to the individual that will springboard thought and discussion and help fathom and assess these important choices, informing positive interaction with family and advisors.
Not everyone has a CV bursting with impressive credentials. 52% of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds leave school without any qualifications at all. Future Builder gives people without credentials the confidence to express their suitability and motivation for employment they will find truly meaningful and fulfilling and often leads to the development of a study, career and life plan.
120,000 veterans are unemployed and working-age veterans are nearly twice as likely to be unemployed as their civilian peers in the UK. Future Builder is designed to highlight factors that complement military achievements and provide a clear steer on how a veteran's character strengths and abilities could translate to meaningful and enjoyable employment or self-employment.
Whether to supplement retirement income, maintain a sense of purpose, remain engaged, pursue a dream or just give something back, many people facing retirement are seeking new employment opportunities. Free from income demands, it is possible to reduce working hours, to change the nature of work, to choose to follow an entirely new path and reduce stress and anxiety. Often this means harnessing transferable and soft skills and natural strengths. Future Builder helps clarify the options, combat the doubts and commence the journey to a balanced and fulfilling retirement.
Dead-end jobs that are low-paid and insecure trap people in poverty. Five in every six people in low-paid work fail to escape low pay over 10 years. A lack of credentials should not equate to a lifetime of hardship. Our programme is designed to find the brilliance in each individual and show them how to maximise their inherent strengths so that they can accelerate their social mobility and change their lives for the better.
According to research by Robert Half UK, 13% of UK employees are unhappy at work. Worryingly, this accounts for more than 4.3 million people in the UK. It doesn't have to be this way. Future Builder is designed to find out what makes a person tick. It harnesses a scientific approach to establish the kind of work that really empowers a person to be the best version of themselves - and that means being happy and fulfilled at work and in life.
There are approximately 140,000 prison admissions every year in the UK. However well motivated, rehabilitation is difficult and beset with problems. Overcoming prejudice demands an ability to clearly articulate a motivation and enthusiasm for specific types of work and the ability to reference personality and character traits, strengths, values, passions and aptitude is effective as it demonstrates vision, a plan, determination and self-reliance. Future Builder helps inspire both enthusiasm and confidence, it helps develop hope for the future and inspires the goodwill of others.
