What is FUTURE BUILDER?

FUTURE BUILDER IS THE ULTIMATE CAREER PLANNING TOOL


Future Builder assesses all aspects of your character to help you identify careers that align to your personality, strengths and values, and enable you to plan a successful and fulfilling life.


It gives young people, and others at a turning point in their career, the opportunity to assess their options and carefully and insightfully plan their future.


It offers parents, careers advisors and mentors a clear basis on which they can better engage individuals to develop life plans and prepare them to compete for appropriate and fulfilling employment.  

HOW DOES IT WORK?

FUTURE BUILDER IS AN ONLINE COURSE


  • It guides individuals through three online assessments, which have been chosen specifically because of their research rigour and scientific credibility.


  • Each of the three intuitive online assessments are undertaken in turn, and at the conclusion of each stage the individual reviews their own assessment results and selects only those elements they most identify with.


  • This self-selected affirmation and the resultant weighting attributed to the assessment results serve to make their overall assessment thorough, accurate and unique. There are millions of possible variations. No two outcomes are alike.


  • The whole programme takes 60-90 minutes and costs just £10.


  • Every purchase comes with a gift voucher, explaining what Future Builder is and containing unique log in details, so that if you are buying it for someone else you have something to give them.

WHAT DOES IT DELIVER?

A TOTALLY UNIQUE CHARACTER PROFILe

  • On completion of the programme, the results generate a downloadable, two-page Character Profile that is unique to each individual.


  • The Character Profile showcases an individual's personality, strengths, values and potential, holding a mirror to the user. This is often an enlightening experience. Many lack self-awareness and it is extremely rare to find anybody for whom the assessment carries no surprises. 

A PERSONALISED CAREER INSIGHTS GUIDE

  • To complement the character profile, we include a downloadable Career Insights Guide that provides personalised suggestions on the types of jobs and working environments that might best suit the individual, based on their unique data.
     
  • The Career Insights Guide shows individuals how they might utilise their inherent character and strengths to achieve sustained employment in roles they find meaningful and fulfilling. 

A supporting worksheet

  •  A Worksheet is also included; an element designed to encourage personal responsibility and engagement with career selection and job hunting.


  • It supports individuals in the review of their unique data, helping them weigh their options and shortlist their preferences.

WHO DOES IT BENEFIT?

YOUNG PEOPLE

We begin to make choices that have significant and often irreversible consequences at a very young age. Young people most often lack an appreciation of their likes and dislikes, their character and personality traits, their strengths, aptitudes, inclinations, orientation and potential. And yet, decisions must be made; Which examinations, which courses, which colleges, apprenticeships, further education or employment? What are the choices and how might they suit me?


Young people also face the influence of others, their peers and their elders.

Future Builder provides the framework for engagement. In just 60-90 minutes the programme highlights the key factors unique to the individual that will springboard thought and discussion and help fathom and assess these important choices, informing positive interaction with family and advisors.

Not everyone has a CV bursting with impressive credentials. 52% of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds leave school without any qualifications at all.
