Recently Jeremy was Deputy and Interim CEO of the largest Children's Hospice in Wales, directing and managing all aspects of the charity's fundraising, marketing, communications and public affairs. He was CEO of the charity’s retail and lottery operations, and was responsible for promoting the charity to its prospective beneficiaries thereby ensuring all children with life-limiting conditions in Wales could be identified and they, and their families, offered an appropriate and comprehensive programme of care.
This, however, was a second career. Jeremy is a professionally qualified Engineer and Computer Scientist. He worked for over 30 years in senior and global roles for some of the largest enterprise software and information technology companies helping direct the revolution in IT, in areas that include open systems, client/server, the internet, cloud computing and big data.
Jeremy has vast experience, strategically assessing what might be possible then connecting the dots between product design, development, marketing and business success. His leadership is visionary and he supports and protects the people he works with and represents. His ability to carefully devise a strategy and tactically and pragmatically deliver is highly regarded by those with whom he has worked.
On the personal front, Jeremy loves to garden and cook and he likes to swim, excessively of course, he is currently celebrating swimming over 5 million metres in a little over six years. He is an avid international traveller and amateur photographer. He enjoys research, genealogy and social history. He is currently enjoying learning the Welsh language and preparing for his next big adventure.
