Jeremy not only speaks the truth but, more broadly, presents himself in a genuine way and acts in a sincere way. Jeremy is without pretence and he takes responsibility for the feelings of others and his own actions.
Jeremy values close relations with others, in particular those in which sharing and caring are reciprocated.
Jeremy finishes what he starts. He perseveres, regardless of obstacles, on a course of action, “getting it out of the door”. He derives pleasure from completing tasks.
Jeremy provides thoroughly considered wise counsel. He is able to make sense of a situation by understanding its context, viewing it from different angles and sharing his conclusions in a way that makes equal sense to others.
Jeremy takes an interest in widening his experience. He loves research and study for its own sake and is continually finding new subjects and topics to explore, new things to discover.
Recently Jeremy was Deputy and Interim CEO of the largest Children's Hospice in Wales, directing and managing all aspects of the charity's fundraising, marketing, communications and public affairs. He was CEO of the charity’s retail and lottery operations, and was responsible for promoting the charity to its prospective beneficiaries thereby ensuring all children with life-limiting conditions in Wales could be identified and they, and their families, offered an appropriate and comprehensive programme of care.
This, however, was a second career. Jeremy is a professionally qualified Engineer and Computer Scientist. He worked for over 30 years in senior and global roles for some of the largest enterprise software and information technology companies helping direct the revolution in IT, in areas that include open systems, the internet and cloud computing.
Jeremy has vast experience, strategically assessing what might be possible then connecting the dots between product design, development, marketing and business success. His leadership is visionary and he supports and protects the people he works with and represents. His ability to carefully devise a strategy and tactically and pragmatically deliver it is highly regarded by all those who have had the pleasure of working with him.
Jeremy loves to garden and cook and he loves to swim, excessively of course, he is currently celebrating swimming over 2 million metres in a little over two years. He is an avid international traveller and amateur photographer. He enjoys research, genealogy and social history. He is currently enjoying learning the Welsh language and preparing for his next big adventure.
